IMMERSIVE GONDOLARIDE
With the “Gondola Ride to the North Pole”, we created an immersive media installation that takes visitors on a virtual journey all the way to the front door of Santa Claus. In parallel, 17 shopping centres in Germany and Italy were transformed into starting points for this unique experience.
Visitors enter a specially designed gondola space. Eight 55” displays form the gondola’s windows, creating a fully immersive dreamlike ride through winter fantasy landscapes. Upon arrival, the gondola doors open and Santa Claus personally welcomes travellers of all ages.
The installation was realised 17 times and entirely planned, manufactured and implemented in our own workshops. The basis of the project is our sustainable beMatrix system, enhanced with custom-made elements from the AMBION workshop. Video-triggered ambient lighting, compact sound reinforcement and partially remote-operable and serviceable technology ensure reliable and efficient operation across all locations.
