Each year, the Falling Walls Conference brings together leading researchers, innovators, policymakers and media representatives to discuss the breakthroughs shaping the future of science and society.
For us, the project began long before the first guests arrived. Four days of build-up, intensive rehearsals and comprehensive technical coordination laid the foundation for an event that brought together seven previously independent formats within a single conference environment.
Our scope covered the complete technical production, including lighting, audio, media and LED systems, camera and streaming infrastructure, scenic elements and spatial production design. Beyond the core conference areas, we also provided technical support throughout the entire venue, including the club spaces and Salon Babette.
Three main stages were streamed live and distributed across the venue, while three additional stages hosted panel discussions, live performances, networking formats and evening events. Multiple programmes ran simultaneously, requiring seamless coordination across all technical disciplines and event areas.
With up to 1,600 visitors per day, a large number of contributors and an ambitious programme schedule, the project presented a range of operational and technical challenges. These included complex media workflows, limited available space, the complete rebranding and redesign of all venue areas, and an extensive rehearsal schedule involving numerous speakers and programme formats.
The result was a highly connected conference environment capable of supporting multiple stages, audiences and content streams simultaneously, while delivering a consistent experience across the entire event.
